Webinar to Cover How to Make a Difference in Virginia’s General Assembly

(RICHMOND, VA)–The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is offering a free online workshop on Dec. 13 on how anyone can advocate for clean water and the environment during the upcoming Virginia General Assembly session. On this brief but info-packed webinar, CBF will discuss how to work with your elected representatives to improve the health of local rivers, streams, and the Chesapeake Bay.

Citizen Lobbying 101: Making Your Voice Heard will cover topics ranging from the effectiveness of petitions to getting to know your state legislator. With the legislative session set to begin in just one month, the webinar offers a timely refresher for veteran citizen lobbyists and a playbook for first-time advocates. The one-hour workshop starts at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 13. To register, visitwww.cbf.org/advocacy101 or e-mail Tanner Council at [email protected]
